Mysteria General Information Mysteria is a made up town in the state of North Dakota. It is found along the south side of Devil's Lake. Any other town that may have been there now doesn't exist. Thick woods hide the town from view except for a path that was cleared for a road. Unless you're looking for Mysteria or following the strange pull of it, you really don't just stumble upon it. Many people move there because of how cut off from the rest of the world it seems.
Mysteria is a rural as the rest of the state. In the middle of the town is the actual town part with stores, restaurants, neighborhoods, a couple apartment buildings. On the outskirts of all this is the local schools, cemetery, and a park. The buildings are old and speak of a time period long gone. Many of the businesses are local owned. There is a Wal-Mart, but the old version, not the new Super Wal-Marts. There are a few fast food joints but not many.
Farther out from all this is the farms. Old farm houses with fields and livestock. Along the lake are lake houses, many of them built up since the lake tends to flood now and again.
Out in the woods are a few cabins, most owned by the local lycanthropes, but some also owned by those that just want to be out away from others.
The faerie mounds are located out on the edge of the woods. The ley line runs straight through town and form a nexus. As for the Gate to Hell? Only one person in town is alive that knows where it is.

Blood, Ink, & Pain Nestled within the business district of the town, Blood, Ink & Pain is one of those places you only know about if you or someone you know has been there, or you feel like walking into unmarked doors. Owned and operated by Miles Armitage, he prefers to keep it that way, as it keeps his clientèle limited to those who truly admire the art, versus the skinny bitches who think a tattoo is "OhMyGawd, socute!"
The front of the store, though dimly lit, showcases Miles' previous work, both on skin and other mediums, and has plush couches lining it for his patrons to wait. Since he does all of the work of the store himself, there is usually a wait, but his clients know his work is the best, so they wait. In the back, there are almost surgical-like lights, allowing Miles to see every minute detail of his work as his clients lay on one of his very clean beds. Definitely not one of those seedy places where you worry about getting a disease. At least, not in the back. Separating these two areas is a wall and several curtains.
Open from 6 pm to 3 am every day. Unless Miles doesn't want to work.
Ducky's Ducky’s is a bar that caters to those that are not all that human. You can get anything from beer to blood at Ducky’s. The inside of Ducky’s looks like your everyday pub. Magic inside of Ducky's allows ghosts and spirits to take solid form and be seen by everyone. Faeries and other creatures with seemings lose them. There's wards up that make humans turn away and not enter the building unless they're with a supernatural being.

10am-3pm Monday to Friday
The paper has plenty of space for advertising local businesses and for Personal Ads and job pages so there's usually always someone coming in to the office wanting to advertise something.
The Paper also has it's own webpage showing contact details and how you can have your say.

Club Nocturne Housed within a remodelled theatre building, Club Nocturne is the epitome of gothic opulence. On the ground floor, the theatre seats have been cleared out to make room for a spacious dance floor. A bar is located by the entry, and a scattering of tables and chairs are arranged around the edges of the space, allowing patrons to get off their feet whilst not dancing to the music which pulses through the club.
The original stage remains, useful for live performances, and used as a podium on which to dance the rest of the time. The sound booth stands at the rear of the stage, revealed by parted red velvet drapes, and overlooks dance floor. Smoke machines produce a cloud of scented fog which hovers on the floor.
The lobby houses a separate bar, and although music filters through, it is at a lower volume here due to partial soundproofing, allowing for conversation. More tables and chairs are arranged here, a few leather couches, as well as a couple of pool tables for those who wish to play (though Pool enthusiasts might sniff with disdain to realize the cues are made of fibreglass rather than wood.) Artwork created by local artists and hand picked by Daniella adorns the walls in here.
A VIP area is accessible only by two granite staircases, the entrances to which are guarded by bouncers. This is the Vampires' area, and only those with a pass, and their personal guests, are allowed through. The curved staircases open onto a mezzanine level, from which the lower level is clearly visible. Beyond the balcony dance floor, a closed off area houses a series of intimate chambers, each comprising of a elegantly tiled wet area complete with bath for feeding, and a luxuriant sitting area for recovering blood donors.
Club Nocturne has a few Rules: No non-consensual biting on premises (frankly there are enough vamp wannabes that come to clubs of this sort that finding a willing donor shouldn't be a problem. Dani even has a few on staff.) No killing on the premises. Doing anything to draw unwanted attention to the club is a good way to get banned from the club - not to mention making the owner's shit-list.
If you would like to have your characters business added to this list just post it in the OOC community and we will get it up.
Places of Interest The Wishing Well The wishing well is found at the edge of the Willowbrooke Cemetry. It's a strange place for a well but it's said that a old farm set there and was tore down as the cemetry grew. It's rumored that wishes made at the well come true. Only they don't come true the way you wish them to. They come true in a nightmarish version. A old wooden sign hangs on the well that warns in faded letters: Wish at your own risk.
Willowbrooke Cemetery The original cemetery of Mysteria. Many supernaturals and humans alike are buried here, dating all the way back to when the first beings appeared and founded the town. The cemetery is full of spirits of all kinds and it's not always a wise idea to go there after dark as some of the spirits are rather angry. An iron fence is up around the cemetery to keep the spirits in.
Hawthorn Manor An old house at the edge of town that sits up on a hill. The house is always for sale. Even if someone buys it they don't stay long and the house soon goes back up on the market. The original family that lived in the house disappeared without a trace. Even after all these years there's talk about what might have happened. Those that try to move into the house say horrible things start happening soon after moving me.
The Pit You can only find The Pit if you're supernatural or have a supernatural affinity. Normal humans can only get there if brought by a supernatural. The Pit is an underground building. It's door can be found in one of the alleys in Mysteria but it can not be seen or opened by a normal human. Once you enter The Pit you see a large cage in the middle of the floor, a few tables around, and a bar off to the side. Fights happen nightly in the cage. For people that fight and win, there's some money to be made. Fighters are supernaturals of all kinds. Humans that are brought in can fight but if they get killed, they'll just be another missing person. The Pit magically transports bodies out of the building. What happens to them is anyone's guess.
Cosy Nights It's run by a grumpy but friendly woman who disapproves of everything and has a fair idea of everything thats going on in town. It's small at 6 rooms, a couple are ensuite bathrooms. Very reasonably priced. With Good food, and room service (although at a high extra cost when running near empty) Newspapers at the door each morning.
