Sidhe
Though some may dislike them, or balk at their control, none can deny that the Sidhe are the true Lords and Ladies of the Dreaming itself. Tall and graceful, the Sidhe exude a natural beauty which inspires love or jealousy in all who see them. Simultaneously, all Sidhe have a natural grace and charm about them; no matter what these fae do, they imbue everything around them with a sense of courtliness and regal poise. Whether on the battle-field or holding court, whether trysting with mortal lovers or studying the ancient magicks in hidden Freeholds, the Sidhe have the bearing of nobility. Those who dislike these fae, of course, claim that the Sidhe are overbearing, officious, ridiculously formal, condescending, and generally out of touch with the rest of the world.

The Sidhe possess a unique connection to the Dreaming; Banality strikes at them more savagely than any other fae. Many Sidhe often appear to be in a sort of waking dream-state, with glassy eyes and confused expressions on their face. The Remembrance of such fae is strange; often they recall ancient secrets of the Dreaming with ease. Bards' songs say that the eldest Sidhe live in the past, present, and future at once, strangely disconnected from time and place around them.

No one can be certain what happens to the fae soul of a Sidhe when his mortal body dies; clearly they do not follow the same path of reincarnation as the commoners do. The Sidhe ardently hope that their souls return to the Dreaming itself. Some commoners believe that the Sidhe souls are destroyed forever after their bodies' deaths, or, even more ironically, that these souls then reincarnate as commoner fae.

On the whole, Sidhe are creatures of passion, as fiery as any Satyr. Sidhe feel love and hatred alike far more strongly than most other fae. Though they love politics and strategy, their flair for the dramatic means that Sidhe are rarely subtle, or, if they maintain their secrecy, an eventual glorious revelation must come at some point, so that the Sidhe may step back to admire his or her work. Seelie Sidhe feel love, trust, and honor more passionately than any other fae; in threat situations, they would rather die gloriously than simply fade away. By the same token, such Sidhe are prone to terrible melancholy, as the Banality of the mortal world pierces them through the heart. Such fae either fall into lengthy bouts of depression, ignoring their responsibilities and fiefdoms, or they turn Unseelie, reveling in their dark nature. Unseelie Sidhe delight in cruelty and intrigue, but even these fae ascribe a personal code of honor to their actions. Even the most unscrupulous Unseelie noble acknowledges the rights of challenge, duels, revenge, and a darker form of courtly love.

Sidhe cannot tell a direct lie, but instead are masters of twisting words in order to convey falsehoods without actually lying. They are strictly concerned with the wording rather than the intent of agreements and will specifically place loopholes in agreements which they can exploit. In almost every case, a mortal making a deal with a Sidhe will end up causing the mortal to get the short end of the stick with any attempts to withdraw from the deal causing the mortal to become further involved with the Sidhe.

Sidhe tend to resemble humans of unearthly beauty. Even the plainest Sidhe are striking, with an ethereal, tall, willowy quality about them. Sidhe eyes are captivating, and in their fae seeming often appear strange colors, such as purple, or silver. Their hair is richly colorful. Their skin colors can be as colorful as their hair. They are fierce and regal, with pointed ears and a sense of sadness about them, even when laughing. Sidhe dress in the finest clothing, and armor and courtly dress are standards for this fae.

Of all the fey, the Sidhe have the more powerful magic. Seelie Court fey prefer defensive, protective, and enchantment-focused magics. Unseelie Court kelirs control magics that allow them to dominate those around them. Most have some kind of magical talent. The fey of royal blood have the most powerful talents of all, talents called Hands of Power. For each hand they are about to call a magic to them and use it. The Unseelie Queen has the Hand of Air and the Hand of Darkness. Anything said in the dark can be heard by the queen. She can also take the very air you breath away from you.

-Sidhe often become melancholic and miserable from too much contact with the mortal world, yet they risk Bedlam as any other fae from too much contact with the Dreaming.
