Angels

Angels are a race that was created long ago by a higher power to help balance out the evil in the world. They're not the heavenly beings sent down by God that everyone thinks them to be. You don't die and become an angel. You're born one. There's not such thing as a half-angel. When one parent is an angel there's a 50/50 chance of their child being an angel also. And just because the parent is one type of angel, it doesn't been the child will be also. When an angel hits puberty they discover their calling.

They don't work for God or any other being, Angel's are meant to stop evil and spread good. They can bless objects. While good, not all angels are fluffy, happy beings. Some are rather cranky and have an attitude.

Angels are a long lived race. They age at the same rate as humans until they hit their mid to late twenties and from then on out age much slower that a human. It unknown how long an angel can live. Most over the age of 500 have grown tried and decided to clip their wings or have been killed by demons.

All angels look human, except for the fact that they have rather large wings that they use to fly. Other beings can only see these wings when they are out. Most time when among humans, angels 'store' their wings, a process where their wings are adsorbed into their back. When the wings are being stored, a mark of some kind is left on the back. It can be scars, a tattoo, and so on. The wings of angel vary from angel to angel. Some have the feathered wings. Some have flasher, more unusual wings.

An Angel can choose to fall. To clip their wings and become human. How it happens is just like sounds, they fall. They choose to fall from the sky without their wings and will themselves to be human. When they hit the ground they are human. A very banged up human but still human.

If an angel does an act of evil they'll fall without choosing. They'll be stripped of their wings, their backs scarred for the rest of their lives, and they will become human.

Guiding Angels
Guiding Angels are just that. They're there to help others find their path in life. This type of angel is a great listener and friend. They give that little nudge when needed to get one moving in a direction they need to go.

Angel of Vengeance
This type of angel extracts vengeance for those have been wronged and can not do so themselves. Each angel has its one group of people that they watch over. Children who have been wrong, wives who are beaten, social outcasts, and so on. (The type of people your angel watches over must be named in your application).

• angels of vengeance have slight telepathic abilities when it comes to their selected. They can hear the mental cries of the wronged. They can then follow the string of mental anguish to the person.
  
  
• these angels can only take vengeance for those they have selected. If someone not of their group is murdered right in front of them, there's nothing they can do about it.

Angels of Renewal
Angels of Renewal give rebirth and purification to places and beings that have been tainted. They go where the evil of demons have tainted the ground or where humans have destroyed the environment.

• With a touch, an angel of renewal can remove the taint from a being. Poison, the taint of a demon's curse, and so on. Where they walk, new life is given to the Earth.
  
  
• renewing and removing taints is a trying process on the angel. It sucks up a lot of energy and the bigger the area, the more time and energy it takes. Removing a curse will have an angel down for days.

Angels of Grace
Angels of Grace are the hippies of the angel race. They're all about spreading love, peace, and happiness, man. Each angel does this in different ways. Working charity, working with the homeless, or going into war zones to try and bring peace.

• an angel of grace gives off a calming aura that smoothes and relaxes the people around them.
  
  
• these angels never feel anger. On top of that they never give up on something, no matter how far gone the cause.

Angels of Love
Angels of Love are all about match making. They live to help others find love. If they think two people are perfect for each other they won't give up. If you need love advice, an angel of love is the one to go to.

• With a touch, Angels of love can inspire love in the target for a few hours.
  
  
• These angels are obsessed with love. Movies, books, music. Yet they never seem to find love for themselves.

Guardian Angels
These angels are just what they sound like. They're the angels that watch over others. A guardian is assigned a person, who they usually don't know until they cross paths with them unless they protect people from a certain family, and they must stay close to them to protect them.

• They have a danger sense when it comes to their charge. If their charge is in danger or danger is close by, they'll know it.
  
  
• If the charge of a Guardian Angel dies they lose their wings and become human. Most go into a deep depression and kill themselves.

Angels of Wrath
Angels of Wrath, sometimes called Archangels, are the warriors of the angel race. They're the ones that were born to hunt down the demons. They're methods aren't always angelic, sometimes wiping out a whole city just to get to the evil within it.

• Angels of Wrath have the power to create earthquakes and other natural disasters. Raining down fire upon a place has been known to happen also.
  
  
• These angels have a sense when it comes to demons. They can tell when one is nearby.
  
  
• For the most part these angels are calm and hard to wind up. Get them mad through and they loose control over their abilities to control nature.
  
  
• Once these guys get on the trail of a demon, nothing else matters but getting to that demon.

Angels of Death
Angels of Death are the reapers of the angel race. They're the ones that remove the soul of a person about to die and help them move on to the next stage. What the next stage is they don't know. It might be heaven, but no one is sure if there is one.

There are two kinds of angels of death. Those who tend to the souls that die from natural causes and those that tend to those who die from other causes (murder, suicide, accidents, etc). (You must state which in your application)

• Angels of death can remove the soul of those about to die. They can connect with the dying and offer them comfort as their body dies and their soul separates from it.
  
  
• These guys have a death sense. It's a feeling they get when they're around someone who is going to die within the week. Angels that deal with natural death only sense people doomed to these deaths and angels that deal with other causes only sense people who are going to die an interesting death within a weak.
  
  
• They knew when a person they are supposed to take is about to die. It's a feeling that they get. If they deny that feeling it will turn into mind numbing pain that won't stop until they answer the call. Once they answer it, no one but the one who is going to die can see them until the deed is done.
  
  
• Angels of Death take the soul of someone they usually do it just minutes before, during or after. Because of this they need ways to get to the person unnoticed. There's two general ways angels do this. Both are passive powers and are ones that can not use any other time but while doing a reap. The first is invisiablity. The other is to stop time in the area until the deed is done.
  
  
• Usually angels of deaths stake out an area to tend to. They may go months or years without taking a soul if they leave in a small town or take more than one a day if they leave in a big city. Big cities usually have more than one angel of death, while small towns only have one or two.
  
  
• Tied hands. An angel of death can not tell a person they're about to die or anyone else until the deed it done.
  
  
• The angels that deal with deaths by other causes deal with some pretty ugly things. Because of this these angel tend to get burn out or depressed much more easily than other angels.
